Electronic Mail

You can access to your mail in Titan securely by three ways:

  • Web Mail
  • POP/IMAP + SMTP (mail clients)
  • Shell access by SSH + Pine
This page explains how to configure several clients to access your mail.

Web Mail

To access Web Mail, please click on this link. All communications process are secured (SSL).

POP/IMAP + SMTP (mail clients)

You can use this configuration in the most of mail clients, such as Mozilla Thunderbird or Microsoft Outlook:

Configuration for POP:

  • Server: pop.gsic.uva.es
  • Port: 995
  • Security: SSL
  • Authentication: user and password used in Titan
Configuration for IMAP:
  • Server: imap.gsic.uva.es
  • Port: 993
  • Security: SSL
  • Authentication: user and password used in Titan
Configuration for SMTP:
  • Server: smtp.gsic.uva.es
  • Port: 465
  • Security: SSL
  • Authentication: user and password used in Titan
Also, non-secured configuration is available by Titan, but not recommended to use.
